Approche sans papier du cartonnage pour cette boîte tout carton. Le treillage est fait en cartonnette, il est appliqué par plaquage sur la boîte puis cerné selon les principes de la baguette en carton. Les pieds et la poignée sont aussi confectionnés en carton. L’intérieur est habillé en cartonnette. L’ensemble est peint et patiné pour obtenir un aspect bois.
This matboard box is made using the traditional cartonnage principles but without using decorative paper. The trellis is made using a lightweight matboard then inlaid to the side of the box and lid, it is then surrounded by strips of matboard cut according to the ways I use when making cardboard frames. The feet and the handle are also made with matboard. The inner part of the box is lined with lightweight matboard. The finished product is painted in such a way to resemble wood.
